Depends on the bird and on if you have another rooster. My Black Cochin didn't start crowing until recently when I sold off my Alpha rooster. He is 1.5

No other roosters I have 19 ladies in a separate area
All new esperance fo me. I still call them little girls and have to correct myself.

One I believe is a golden comet rooster

This summer we got to watch pumpkins live cycling.

Started with a seed from our sons kindergarten class. Be planted it and watched it grow into a long spout.
Brought it home and it just took off from there in our front yard. Yes it is going crazy but we did not have our garden started at the time.
So we have watch it grow, flowers and start of pumpkins to dark green pumpkins today.
He is going to share a pumpkin with his 1st grade class this year and with his brothers kindergarten class the same teacher he had last year.

We might have two pumpkin patches next year and yes they will be moved to our field not the front yard.
