Silence Is Not Golden Here

All my beautiful eggs from the last few days... The pale tinted ones came from my red EE, Kathryn. She laid one when she was in the chicken hospital!

Noooo! I'm out for the weekend and I just got the news that one of my D'Uccle chicks is fading fast :th

They have tried NutriDrench and syringe feeding water to no avail. What else can be done???
The chick is reported to be unable to walk and is not opening it's eyes.
I hope it holds out until I get home tomorrow.

I think it is either 2 or 3 days old. Probably 2 days.

It sounds like they are doing what they can do. There isn't anything else I can think of. It sounds like there isn't much hope.

Why do you have to cull him? :(
He was free ranging and went up to a run with another roo. They fought through the fence. He lost a spur. He stopped being able to stand on his other leg a few days later. I can't find anything wrong with his leg. He just lies there now. No crowing. He'll only eat if I hand feed him vitamin soaked bread.
