Psht. No blah water and nasty sand for me. I'll take sleet-gray surf that sprays a hundred feet in the air off the cliffs, and steep, rocky beaches with ten-foot-thick driftwood logs piled on them. Water too cold to go into without a drysuit, and riptides that'll kill you if you're not experienced and careful. Rocky tide pools full of amazing ocean life, and islands that jut two hundred feet straight up out of the water on all sides, with the greenery on the top spilling out into open air.

I grew up on northwestern Peninsula beaches.
Neah Bay, Kalaloch, Ruby beach, Lake Ozette and all those in between. Most beautiful beaches!

I love the rain. It stays cool, keeps the flying insects down, and my annoying neighbors indoors. But then, I don't like the mud, wet dogs, and not being able to line dry my laundry. And it's not fun chasing a bored half naked toddler down in the rain, either...

Ah the memories. Daughters decided to save water & took their bathing suits outside to bathe in the house's downspout. Mom was not amused. Worked well.

Older daughter liked playing in the rain in bright red rubber boots. No diaper. No clothes. Just a great big smile & rubber boots.

We needed the rain, but NOT the mosquitoes.

Good morning all :)
Just about had a heart attack when I realized one of my friend's chickens was missing. :th
I finally found her but only after she had missed out on the morning feed.
Missing?
Are you keeping chickens at your house for a friend?

Hello Kiki! They're wonderful, thank you for asking! :D I'm not %100 sure of the genders... but my guess is both pullets! Growing so darn quickly in the blink of an eye, or quicker! How're your birds doing this Summer?
Awesome...:fl for girls!

My birds are doing ok...I think.
It's quite hot here lately.
