Yes. I had Canadian geese chase and attack me when I was about five. Incidentally, a wild goose can break bones with their wings.

Condolences on your loss. I had the coop door propped open yesterday while everyone was roaming... and the wind snapped its tether, slamming it shut. Just lucky nobody was in it, since the smallest Serama likes to sit on the sill when it's open.

I've lost birds to my own fault, too. Best we can do is learn from it

I closed brown chickens (Orpington) foot in the coop door last week. Our door is a barn stable door.
She is still mad at me not talking to me yet. She usually tells me where all the eggs are in the nest

I agree...even though the rooster was the best stock I had, so I am thinking of disposing of the rest of the flock.
