Silence Is Not Golden Here

Beautiful snake! Incidentally, if you decapitate a snake, the head can remain conscious and aware of its surroundings for up to an hour afterwards - and bite you. Snakes are beneficial. Don't screw with them, they don't screw with you. Just need to keep your buffet snake-proofed.

If you're going to have a bird feeder, expect to attract birds.
Yep. I don’t actually have birds right now, that’ll change in about a week. They are common on our property due to the rodent population and ample forest coverage.

The compromise I have with my family is that venomous ones get decapitated after I confirm species. All others are left alone or relocated. Heads are buried.

Unfortunately that’s the best deal I can make, with young children and stupid dogs always getting into things outside.

Good argument to make; Mice carry disease. Snakes eat mice. Hantavirus is far more deadly than the venom of any land-based snake, and harder to cure. Snake bites very rarely kill; Hantavirus does, and the rodent doesn't even have to be there. You get it from inhaling dust from their feces while trying to clean it up.

Well darn the 6yr old is back up......

Only have two a 5yr old and 6yr old boys
Seems like he is taking after his parents.
Who don't like to sleep much either!

I kid.

Two in diapers at the same time :th
My brother has two daughters that are only 11 1/2 months apart.
It's so funny that they are the same age for two whole weeks each year.
