Maybe I'm just looking for excuses here but since only one of my eggs hatched, do I need to get a chick so this one isn't alone? Keep in mind it is with mother hen, but is the only baby. Opinions please.

I personally would. I think it’s less of a big deal since it has a momma, but still ideal to have a sibling to learn with and so it won’t be as much of a target.
Single child syndrome and all.

More babies is usually more better lol. But momma might not take another chick so you’d have to be prepared to brood them yourself if that’s the case.
