Silence Is Not Golden Here

I’m not particularly fond of monkeys either, though I like pigs.

That doesn’t make you a wuss. Some people can do it, some can’t. I tend to think that everyone should try butchering their own meat at least once (unless you’re a vegetarian) to see what it’s like.

Oh, I've butchered often enough! I just tend to make my animals into pets. I kill them if it's a mercy to keep them from suffering. I grew up in a hunting family, though, and I've fished regularly until moving to a place where I wouldn't be willing to eat what I caught. Too much chemical waste in the reservoirs here, and the fish are all warm-water fish. I have trouble thinking of a catfish as 'edible'. Give me a wild run silver salmon or a sea-run cut-throat trout any day! Nice and fresh, bright from the ocean with the sea lice still on them... that's my kind of fish.

I know you have, I remember discussing hunting before haha. I do the same with my animals, I would have a hard time raising meat birds or cattle solely for slaughter. I’m sure it would be easier in an industrial setting instead of raising a few in your backyard.
Sorry guys, I'm not very active on here today, too busy with chicken moving and finishing summer rebuilding :(
No worries hombre, take your time.
