Apparently quite a few others I met at the show said they had it happen too.

They must be cleaning feet a whole lot different from how I've been doing it... when I needed to, I just grabbed chicken, sat down, put my feet up, threw a towel over my lap, laid the bird on its back on top of my legs, wrapped it up with the feet sticking out, and scrubbed them.

Yea, the way I do it, and a lot of others, is that we hold the birds by the feet, with the neck between our side and our armpit, and scrub them

Yea, she also lost her best RIR hen while trying to clean its feet for the show. She suffocated it in her armpit

Yea, she sure did brush it off, she was just chatting with me with her 'happy go lucky' attitude. She did yell 'grrr, grrrr' at the roof while she animated the occurrence
