Siliver Laced Brahma Project. Share photos and experiences

My pair is also from Greenfire and I believe they are a boy and girl. Yin and Yang, (the genders are reversed in this case) are now 12 weeks old and have the thickest, fluffiest feathering of any birds I've had. Their personalities are absolutely adorable as well.

I don't think they've got vulture hocks. My D'Uccle has vulture hocks, these guys appear to be just very fluffy at this point. What do you think?

From my understanding if you are breeding with it- . 95 % -100% will have it...If you have one that does and one that doesnt you have a chance of hatching some without it-BUT they still carry the gene even if they dont show it-it takes many generations to be bred outand by many I mean MANY! You want chicks without it and keep using those to breed cull the rest.

Thanks for the verification; it's hard to see so many things underneath all that fluff that's in the middle of changing!

By the way, I'm going to sell this pair - yes I adore them - because I've committed to a couple of other breeds and I'm completely over-capacity on roos. It doesn't make sense to just keep one of them when they are as rare as they are. Yes, I am sticking with my practical side 9because that other addictive side wants to keep them).

Do you think I'd be crazy in asking $100 for the pair?

I wasn't going to show either but only maintain flocks that meet standard and could be shown if I chose to....I am sooo disappointed.
