Silkie and satin color pairing outcomes

I have a batch of silkies and satins that came from a breeders "fun pen." Next year I plan to pair some of them just for fun. They're not to the standard of perfection, I know, I just like fun colors.

My plans as of right now are:

Roo1 to hens 1, 2, and 3
And
Roo 2 to hen 4

I'm pretty sure roo 1 to hens 1 and 2 will give all partridge since thats what I believe those 3 are, but I have no idea what roo 1 to hen 3, and roo 2 to hen 4 (no idea what color hen 4 would even be considered, but she's gorgeous) will give me.

Does anyone have any insight on what these pairings will give?

(Any one of the silkies could also have the modified frizzle gene as 2 roosters in the fun pen were woolies, but I can't tell that just yet and im going to try to prove that out if possible)

Roo 1 isn’t partridge, he is probably a mix of partridge and red/buff columbian. His offspring could end up with a more solid red/buff like he has, and/or with more black like partridge. If bred with a silkie, he will either have 0 silkied offspring or about half of his offspring will be silkied depending on whether he carries the gene.

None of the silkies look like they have the frizzle gene. (Are woolies the same thing as sizzles; silkied frizzles?)

Hen 3 is pretty cool, looks like a mille fleur/calico project. Her offspring will either be partridge or red/buff, unless Roo 1 carries the mottling gene (in which case 50% of her offspring would be mottled). If both she and Roo 1 carry the silkie gene, 25% of their offspring will be silkied.

Hen 4 appears to be a silver mille fleur. Roo 2 appears to be black(?) carrying mottling, but I’m not completely sure. If he is black carrying mottling, his offspring with hen 4 would most likely be black with silver leakage, and about half should be mottled. However, they could also end up with gold leakage, or end up gold or silver columbian depending on what other genes roo 2 has.

Thank you so much for the information!

Roo 1 has a couple of white feathers on his feet, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with a mottling gene. I'd never heard of a silver millie fleur. Her color had me stumped since shes absolutely beautiful, and I've never seen anything like it before. I definitely want to look into that color variety more.

Roo 2 has been confusing to me. I cant tell if he's blue, black, ot what's going on there. I'm going to separate out 2 pens of silkies and do a test hatch with him and hen 4, as well as a beautiful mottled satin I have to see what he can produce. I want to avoid breeding leakage into any of my chicks, so this should help me see which route I want to take.

Would you say hen 2 is a partridge? She hatched out looking like a partridge chick would, so I just assumed she was. I didn't even consider thinking of the columbian gene for roo 1, but he definitely has to have some of that in him.

A woolie is a somewhat newer discovery in the silkie world. It's when a silkie gets one copy of the wild type frizzle gene that everyone knows of, but it also gets a copy of a more newly discovered modified frizzle gene (theres actually a third frizzle gene aswell, but it doesn't apply here). The birds that get one of each of these 2 frizzle genes are what's known as a woolie, but is not a frazzle. A woolie can pass down the modified frizzle gene (which is what im looking for) or the wild type. The modified frizzle gene can be hard to see, and you could have one without actually knowing, which is why I'm watching this batch of silkies so closely in the hope that one is modified. (Definitely no wild type frizzles in this group). There's a facebook group dedicated to the research and breeding of woolies and modified frizzles that has so much information. I'll add a picture one of the admins posted showing her satin woolie next to a wild type frizzle woolie.

That’s very interesting about woolie, I didn’t know about it until now! It seems they have the same curly feathers as frazzles do, but without the brittleness? Also, I do believe hen 2 is partridge
