Silkie bantam, is it a Rooster or Hen?

Ok, I still would much prefer TL to be a pullet, thanks for the quick response! TL sure is taking her time :)
:goodpost::goodpost: :goodpost::goodpost:
Also, I got TL on April 15 last year, she was 2 weeks old when I got her and likely hatched around April 1st. This makes TL around 10 months and 17 days old, it shocks me that she has not laid an egg yet or tried to crow yet, if TL is a rooster. Although, I am not an expert on silkies or bantams so I don't really know what I am talking about in this situation ;)
That is why I need you guys :hugs

I'm sure not an expert on silkies as I just have 1 hen and 1 roo, but in my case, my rooster was somewhere around 6 months when he started crowing and she didn't start laying until she was close to a year. She stayed either in the hen house or close to it while he mingled and ran with the flock. She is now laying 3-4 eggs per week.

Thanks for the help, TL will be getting new friends this April on the 15th, from the same event she was bought from, the fur & feathers. Also, in my experience roosters also do not crow when there is a dominant rooster around I completely agree with that statement.

Offtopic again but I currently have 5 rooster and two do not crow, I usually only say I have 4 roosters because my 5th roo is partially brain dead, he does not mate and he attacks me, he does not fly at all, he can't even jump up to his roost, he fights with my ducks and loses, he fights with my roosters and loses, and he fights with my hens and still loses. His depth perception is broken, he always misses his hits when fighting and he can not avoid attacks, so despite his massive size a small hen can give him a beating. He also does not crow or even make alarm calls, I don't know if it is because of the other roosters or if it is because of his disability. These problems started when he was around a month old, he had what I assume was a stroke and after that he was never the same. I think the stroke may have destroyed part of his brain because he is so odd. He sometimes tries to fly but it is just horrible, a few weeks ago he ventured out into the snow and did not like it so he tried to fly back to the coop, he went insanely fast, he went up and then as he went down he did not stretch out his legs to land, he just smashed into the ground and knocked the wind out of himself, he was stunned for like 5 minutes. It was like he did not realise the ground was so close. I haven't seen him fly since then...
He is a RIR. When I talk about my roos I only count the ones that mate so he gets left out.
Wow, that's interesting. I wouldn't mind a brain damaged roo, but I don't tolerate them attacking me, so that'd be that for me. They have such a tiny brain, I bet it doesn't take much to damage it.

He is the only rooster that attacks me, he does not use spurs but will bite the back of my leg and charge me. He is somewhat small for a RIR so I do not mind it. But yea, I usually do not tolerate mean roosters either, I have a lot of small kids around and don't want them to get a spur in their back but a sharp peck reminds them to stop chasing my birds :D

Ok so TL's head feathers are really bugging me, more of them are coming out and some are really long. Can someone tell me, do the streamers come out first or does the comb get big first? Because TL's comb is still really tiny and TL's spurs have not developed at all. Are these just new crest feathers or are they streamers? I know I have already asked about them but more have appeared, there is also some coming from the back of TL's neck, just below the back of the crest. TL is just 10 days shy of 11 months as a reminder. He/She is the most confusing bird I have owned...

Comb has come first with my boys, but they always get more streamers as they get older. My two or maybe three year old showgirl has tons. Do you want to post a new pic?

This is the best picture I could get, TL moves her head around a lot so it was hard, the ones in the previous picture have turned into longish feathers and there is some new ones coming in. Are these even streamers? Sorry, I really do not know a lot about silkies. TL hatched around April 1st 2017, do hens get streamers at this age? (if these are even streamers ) Is there any sounds a silkie rooster makes that is different from a hen, besides crows and alarm calls?

I think the roos sound different and act different too. I can tell pretty easy in person. It's describing it to other people that's hard. You could always post a video on YouTube and share the link.

Ok, i'm not home right now, I will take a video of him/her when I get back.

I can't get youtube to work, sorry I wont be able to post a video.
Edit: nvm, got it working, sorry the budgies are chirping, the dog is barking, and my heater is on. You can still hear TL though.
