The first attempts at crowing often sound a bit squawky. Some hens also sort-of crow sometimes when they are young. But the feathers are what tell us your two non frizzled chickens are male.

Yes, agreed. Thanks again for the clarification!! Thought I bought female Silkies- ended up with 1 silkie, and 2 Roos... sigh.. luckily the neighbors aren’t complaining yet, but I’m hopefully looking to re-home all three, since they’re like the 3 musketeers!
