Here are the eggs they hatched from and the eggs I just collected tonight. More proof she is the silkie's chick.if the chicks mother was a silkie the chick would have black skin and feet and the chick would also be blue or black as when breeding a blue to a black half are blue half are black so you wouldn't get a white chick out of that at all the one with the spot would be from the white ee hen as white is recessive thats why it has a spot
Look at this! This is crazy!! The Silkie mix's legs are actually darkening! And her pin feathers are coming in a dark grey or black! This is so cool. The EE mix's pin feathers are also coming in, and the tips are light and then they are darker, but not as dark as the silkie mix's! The EE mix's mother is a white hen.You don't have to prove anything. I'm sorry you got put on the defensive. They are super cute chicks. Please update when they get some feathers! I want to see how they turn out.
Yes I do! I hatched them for a neighbor to give them more variety within their flock so I have not seen the chicks for a good while now, but I do have pictures of them with a good amount of feathers! The black silkie mix does have a twisted beak but it doesn't seem to cause her problems so far luckily!Do you have photos of the original chicks posted? I’m dying to see how they are growing!
