Some chicks have great feathering. Some seem lacking in places so I like to know if that lack changes as they grow up as it will be a determining factor on whether or not I would use them for breeding. This black pullet for instance was a pitiful looking chick and her babies for the most part are the same way. But wow! she pulled out of it!Great, thank you!

What kind of information do you all make note of during incubation and how often do you candle? I'm considering using the weighing process for our next batch, in order to accurately control the humidity needed for a good hatch rate.
Im not having good luck with hatches and want to figure out what's wrong and what's right...
