Silkie breeding, genetics & showing

I have two blues and a couple of partridge but I was wondering if my partridge are partridge or possibly blue partridge? Also, male or female? I have some guesses of my own but was wanting opinions. The one blue is super dark but has to be blue because I have a splash roo. Anyway tell me what you think please? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are all roughly 3 months old.

Same bird on these two pics.

I was thinking boy because of the coloring but doesn't really look boyish to me.

Luckily with only three silkies, it is pretty easy to bring them in and out as they please. Thou they all congregate by the door and want in most of the time. They adore being held and petted.lol. And of course the blueberry treats don't hurt either. They are SPOILED!!!!!!

I think you may be the FIRST person I've ever heard refer to a Silkie as a "real" chicken!!!!!!

These are nice looking juveniles! That red on the wings says boy to me and the bottom two, I would say girl for lack of red. :D They all look blue partridge to me. I won't guess on the blue ones sex. I can't tell on my own.

I've had too many leggy girls and too many boys with no comb and lots of crest!

Thank you!!! I really like them. I was afraid they were blue partridge. Question, how does the breeding work for blue partridge? Does anyone know?

I have a question...
I have a splash roo with a lot of autosomal red on him. Would he still be considered a splash or something else? The hen in the pics is a splash hen that came with the roo. She is alittle dirty in these pics from all the rain we've had. She is truly splash with no red on her.

Another question...
I have a buff rooster that I brought from a good quality breeder who assured me he was quality. However the more I look at him the more concerned I am. I've only had him for a weeek. He is a truly clean buff, small in size, very compact, perfect feet, darker eyes for a buff, his comb is almost nonexistent but it is there. He is not impressive as a roo and really lacks manliness overall. His crest is lacking. I am worried about him being able get the job done in the breeding pen. I have heard little Roos with tiny combs are hard to get bred naturally. I will try to get a pic of him up here. I wonder if I should hold onto him or replace him with another clean buff roo that I have? He is between 6 months and 1 year old.

Mystery color roo...
I got this third rooster as part of a package deal, and I am not sure what to call his color. I had this posted in another forum and they think that he is a calico. I just wanted to get some opinions. Also please excuse the fact that he is molting so not the best pic.
Just needing some advice. Thank you all in advanced!

I really like all the different colors you have for your Silkies! I just have white & black. All female. Need a Splash Roo for them.

I have several roosters for sale if you are interested. Lots of colors, and good breeding age. The only splash roo I have is the one pictured with a splash hen, but he has so much red on him that I don't feel right calling him a proper splash. Where are you at?

I believe this is the first ever real argument ive seen on here i am honestly shocked
Not meant to be argumentative. Just stating an opinion. Over 50 years in show poultry have taught me a thing or two. For those showing light colored Silkies...If you want clean feet, put TALCUM powder on the bottoms of the feet as soon as they are dry. Do NOT use cornstarch, or you will have a mess. You can blow out the powder just before judging. It worked for me !You can see some rather decent Silkies on my page.
