Hay are silkie good show bird and what bird are

Silkies are great show birds =) They are very patient and easily handled, and they don't usually mind getting a bath. They are easily cage trained too.

Okay cool. So do you have any suggestions as to what color hens I should use? Here is a picture of the male, he has SUPER lacing =) I'm going to be hatching some from him and my blue cream soon and I can't wait to see what they look like.

Definitely wouldn't give them any lack of crest feathers! and it's a plus that he's bearded! Since bearded silkies are my favorite

Oh yeah, plenty of crest there, for sure!

Porcelain should be pure for lavender, not split. If it is split, it isn't porcelain/self-blue cream/whatever it's being called at any given moment.

This is my girl from self-blue cream cross to lav/split (dark blue). So not really a self-blue cream. Right?
