That is always the trick. I'd probably suggest a wide (mdical) paper tape. Place in proper position and then tape all the way around the wing so that it cannot be spread. You might have to retape every day or two. You could try using vet wrap, but in my experience it just slides off with this type of use.

Excited to say I will be getting a very handsome man from Donna of Bluegrass Bantams. She is getting out of silkies after breeding/exhibiting for 25 years so she can travel. She mainly bred partridge and grays as they are her favorite but held onto one special white boy and girl. And I get them!! Yay!!
