Silkie breeding, genetics & showing

On the silkie club website we discussed blow drying versus drying under a heat lamp, and the overall consensus was that they get just as fluffy drying under a heat lamp as with a blow dryer.  FWIW, I have also stuck a wet bird into an (cabinet)  incubator to dry it.
:lol: I don't know why, but this is amusing to me.

Heat lamp.. Good idea.. Never thought of that. Will consider it next go around!

i put the electric space heated in a dog crate with a blaket over it, the space heater is one those new one that it it tilts it shuts off

So, I candled the eggs that have been in the incubator for 7 days, not a single one was fertile.

Yeah, it's getting pretty cold here too. Freezing over night and frost in the mornings. I will have to blow dry for sure before they go back out. You however, live in a much colder state than I do! Your space heater sounds like a great idea! I have one, I'll have to use it too!

my space heater has a blower i used to use heat lamb and hand drier because i knotice they try faster with air movement

Only had frost maybe 3-4 times so far this fall. Loving it! We have only hit the freezing mark once.
