A few days ago my 4 month old Silkie started having trouble walking.. She seemed to lose her balance, use a wing for balance. Lays with legs spread or to the side with one leg out. She is separated now and I'm giving vitamins, and scrambled eggs. Her energy seems ok, poop is ok, and she eats and drinks. I felt her legs and moved them and it doesn't seem to bother her. I read about Merricks but her head and neck seem fine and she can see. Any advice would help

I'm sorry she's not well.

What do you feed including treats?
Can you post some photos of her and her poop?
Can she see o.k.? (need trimming around the eyes?)
Have you looked inside her ears to make sure there's no infection?

With her age and breed, it very well could be Marek's disease. I would try vitamin therapy to see if she improves. You can give 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily. Offer her a bit of eggs for the uptake of E.

Some folks also make a sling to help their chicken stay upright/move positions. You can try that too and place her in the sling for short monitored periods of time.

If you happen to lose her, then testing through your state lab will hopefully give you answers.

She is on a grower pellet and she get scratch and scrambled eggs for treats along with veggies like zucchini. Poop is normal
