SIlkie chick question

I have a Silkie chick that has a spikey hairdo. Is that normal? Does that mean its a rooster? I've never had a silkie before so I'm curious.

All silkies have the "spiky hairdo." They are crested, which means "spiky hairdo."

Silkies normally take much longer to figure out if they are roos or hens, at least in my experience. either way they will be walking cotton balls <3
