Well, Nutmeg is now 8 weeks old and in my Week by week silkie comb thread, @RoostersAreAwesome pointed out that Nutmeg looks outwardly buff with a bit of
mixed partridge in her. (Well, hopefully she’s a she )

Buff can have some partridge pattern as chicks. It’s likely she’s actually a mixed color, but appears outwardly buff (silkies are often mixed colors, she probably has some partridge genetics). Do you have a full body picture of Nutmeg?

I’ve been just calling her color Partridge up until now, I think maybe I’ll call her buff now even if it’s really a mixed color? Or buff partridge?

Here are a few full body pictures of her from yesterday. They’re a little bit blurry, sorry about that, but she appears to be buff on her whole body except her wings and possibly her tail.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s mixed, I know these silkies aren’t great quality as I got them from a local feed store for 7$ each.
