Has anyone kept track of their Silkie chick weights by week? If you have Silkie chicks, could you weigh them and post it here, with their hatch date. I used a food scale with a bowl on it to keep the chicks sort of confined while weighing them.
I have 6 Silkies. One is clearly older than the rest, the breeder is telling me by about 1 week. The rest are supposed to be 6 weeks old this Tuesday, June 14. Today I banded and weighed them:
Yellow 106 grams : 3.73 oz
Orange 114 grams : 4.02 oz
Purple 121 grams : 4.27 oz
Red 137 grams: 4.83 oz
Green 154 grams : 5.43 oz
White 219 grams : 7.73 oz
