I hope this is in the right place...

Hi everyone I recently just hatched out 10 silkie chicks and one has pink skin. It has fluffy feet and I'm pretty sure it has five toes but pink skin.. I thought silkies always had black/dark skin? Has anyone ever had a pink skinned silkie or is this a cross between something? This is going to be fun to watch it grow up and see what it looks like!

Now I'm starting to wonder if my other chicks are a cross between anything.. I wanted to show these birds once they got older..
I was told they were silkies.

Also, is there a way to tell a baby chicks gender?

That doesn't look like a silkie chick to me. Do you have pics of its whole body? If you can take some pictures of its siblings that could help too.

Here's some pictures of two splash and one blue baby silkie

Here are pics of my silkies around day 2...they didn't really have a 'neck' ... yours looks like it has a longer neck...???

Oh no.. What if these aren't silkies?!?! I really want silkies! I think it's siblings are. I hope!

They are only 1 day old. I just took them out of the incubator last night.
Here's more info on Pinkie: I put Pinkie in the egg turners upside down because it had two large ends and I didn't know where the air cell was. Day 14 I saw it was upside down and I put it in the right way large end up. Did that affect it? I doubt it would. Just thought I'd add that.

I got the eggs from someone that lives about a few miles away. We don't know their last names. I tried calling them today to tell them about this pink chick but no one answered so I will try to call tomorrow. Could this be a frizzle silkie cross? They were telling me they were trying to cross a frizzle with a silkie when they gave me the eggs. They were nice and seemed pretty dedicated to their chickens.

those pics look more silkie to me...wonder what others will say?

have you counted it's toes? does it have black skin anywhere?

I thought Pinkie had five but she actually has four toes...
D:

No black skin that I know off.
Thank you everyone for helping me by the way.

OH YEAH! And she seems to be itching herself I a lot.. Don't know why..
Seems to act a little different than the others but I thought that was only because she was the first one I took out of the incubator. Well the first two were the ones you see in that photo above. Partridge and Pinkie.

Pinkie did get fluffy extra fast in the incubator too..

The others look like silkies. Did they have any other breeds of chickens? Was the frizzle a cochin or something else?

Yes they had a bunch of other chickens there. I don't know if she seperated the silkies or what. D:
I don't know... I think it was a cochin... I'm pretty sure that's what she said. It was a black frizzle I believe also. But I'm not entirely sure. That was early this month.
