Thanks so much...I've been mad, sad, sorry for myself, and now resigned. I'm very proud of her and it's not easy for her either. She is leaving the "love of her life" (I really think he may be...what a great young man!) for all that time too.

Bama...what colors do you see? I know there is a partridge and a blue, but I don't know how silkies feather out. Are the rest splash or white? Also, there is one that looks like it may be a buff.

Looks like blue, partridge and splash. It is hard to tell on the some if they are white or splash with the lighting. Some whites have a silver gene that makes them look silver at hatch but they feather in white. I didn't see a buff. I may be the lighting though. Sometimes the whites have a little yellow on them Very cute babies though. Who did you get your eggs from?

I got them from 123footie on eggbid. She also sells on Ebay under another name. Excellent transaction and good communication from her. I bought a dozen and she sent 14. I got 8 live chicks which is pretty good for shipped eggs. I think there were only a couple that were clear...the others started and quit. Fertility was good as far as I could tell.

There are 4 of them that were silver with just a tiny touch of yellow when they hatched. I assume those are all going to be white...maybe splash.
