Silkie Chicks with light feet?

I just hatched out a couple of Silkie chicks with light colored feet. They have 5 toes, but their legs and feet are more pink/tan. They are buff colored chicks, does that have anything to do with it? I was under the impression that all Silkies had black skin/legs/feet.

well, they wont be show quality, just pets. and all silkies have black/blue feet

im sure they'll still be pretty tho

They will darken with age. I had some buffs hatch with tan feet but by the time they were a year old, they were black like all of the others. The feet on yours will darken as they age but it is hard to say if they will eventually turn as dark as mine did. It IS possible though.

Interesting. I had one hatch a few months ago with a pink toe...but none with completely pink feet. They are darn cute though! Will have to keep them around to see what happens!
I also hatched my first Turken today, and some Silver Laced Polish, it's been a great week!

I had two buffs hatch with orange-pink legs & feet. They've darkened to slate by 5 months, but not charcoal-black like my whites & blacks.

They could very well darken up with age. If they are still light when they are older, I would breed them back to birds that have black legs. Several are born with pink toes.

Do you have any pictures that we can look at?
