Silkie/Cochin Mix

Hi, I bought this pullet (?) and was told she's a cochin/silkie mix. Can someone confirm this is a pullet (approx 5 months old) and what would her breed be?

I'm fairly positive this is a cockerel. The breed, or rather the mix sounds about right to me

That's a cockerel, and the cross looks about right.

Sure looks like a Silkie/Cochin mix, and the coloring says 100% cockerel.

Is it because of the different colors? Are pullets usually solid? Would he be considered a Sizzle?

It's not because pullets are usually solid colored, they can be lots of colors too. The cockerel coloring I'm seeing is all the red on his wings and back. Pullets almost never have this color, and especially in the areas your guy has it. Sizzles have silkied, frizzled feathers, so no, your boy would not be considered a sizzle.

Could you maybe get a good side view photo of him? I still think he's a cockerel, it's just the red edging on his tail feathers is throwing me off a bit, and I want to be 100% sure.

It is! He's a daddy now and has a produced a bunch of frizzles. lol
