Update:

My little birdie is now 8 weeks old. There are still little to no signs of comb or wattles. However, the feathers are getting me worried. (Please excuse me if i'm overacting, I have a tendancy to do that)
The neck feathers are getting fairly shiny 'rims' around them. They are fairly thin.
This is my favorite chicken and I'm going to be really bummed if it's a boy. I love him/her soooo much!

Please help me.

If it's a rooster, I say keep it. You may be able to buy off your neighbors with eggs. Just talk to them if you think they will be a problem.

Hahaha! Yea well..... We allready made them mad a few months ago by having roosters, and we had to get rid of them (the roosters). And, we don't exactly know who called the police last time......

most mixes i have seen of d'uccle and silkie have the single combs but i have recently seen a 6 week old baby with a silkie comb and his was way bigger, widder, and redder. i have high hopes that your baby is a pullet
