BTW... what color hen do I need to breed him to get more lavenders... ? I don't have any blacks, and have no idea whether any of my other hens have the lavender gene...

You should breed him with another lavender to get 100% lavenders. Personally, I wouldn't risk breeding him with anything other than blacks or lavenders, as you really don't want to introduce other colors into the lavenders.

Actually it's 3 LOL

You could also try finding him a black hen, but you'll have to wait for his grandbabies before you'll get lavenders
