We have a black cockrel

Paint, Partridge, Silver and black hens

Can we expect to have majority black chicks?

We would like to start a fun colour project. Suggestions on what colour to add?

I would suggest looking at/using these sites and articles to look at color genetics. But already, I would say yes. Black is a dominant color (except with Splash, like this article says/shows) and will almost always appear or dominate other colors and details of the bird. These calculators can give you an idea, and were extremely accurate with wacky combinations I've made with my completely mixed flock!

This calculator is more complicated than the other I've linked, but it is more specific and scientific, if you're into that (I know I am!).

Yes almost all chicks will look pretty much black maybe a little leakage from the silver and partridges, and the paints will give you 50% paint chicks from the cross and 50% black

Good explanation tanks man

If you get a second cockerel, that will give you more options for colors.
If you get Splash hen, you will get some blue chicks.😊
