Hey I am BackSwampGirl on here.And I have a real special little Black Silkie.I purchased some silkie hatching eggs from Linda Willett in Michigan.Can`t really remember how many now.But I had to go into the hospital,it was an emergency.And it was time for them to hatch.So my sister in law came to check on them.No hatch,until I got back a week later.well we were still waiting for them to hatch.So they starting hatching,ended up with 2, I thought.So 24 hrs. later my darling husband was taking out the trash.He heard something in the trash it was a peep and then he finally realized it was coming out of the trash can.So finally I said no it can`t be!!!!!! So we looked and it was a chick still in the shell,but we had tried to help it out,no response.Then I sit down and took my time and got a real warm cloth and had a hot light over it.Picked it out and finally it was alive!!! I was just a crying it was a miracle.That little thing is so precious.It hatched out around the 3rd week of April.And it still is no bigger than it was when it was born.Friends on here said to name it "Lucky",and that is her name.She knows her name too.I want to send a picture of her when I take one of her tomorrow.Thanks to Linda and God above for that little blessing to us,Sandra and Preston
