I have a splash silkie roo, here he is in his younger days:

And one of my hens went broody. I stuck a Blue Andalusian egg under her with two others and the blue/silkie egg hatched.
400

So, my question is. My little chick has black skin, black legs, feathered feet and 5 toes. I was under the assumption that if the silkie crosses (with silkie roo) come out with black skin then it's a pullet....am I right?
Is this still the case when crossed with the blue Andalusian which has slate grey legs?
Just trying to figure out if I have a lone pullet or roo.

According to what niclandia posted, it only works when the silkie rooster is over a white or yellow-shanked bird. So I don't think you've got any sex linkage with the slate legs from the Andy momma, sorry. I think both genders will be black/dark.
