silkie doing odd, postnasal dripp, seems almost blind at one of her eyelids?

Update: the (more specialized in duty) vet came...severest form of enteritis caused by salmonella.... He gave her injections for inflammation and pain, some pil that he had to push in her throat that i thought would NEVER fit in that tiny beak she needs now 8days a half of it (same size of a human sinutab tablet 0_0) and something for the apetite since she lost another 50g in few days... Apperently she had almost no crop at all... Also quarantine from the flock but by holding her in our basement we are giving our girl also stress... Yet we cannot risk exposing her to the others.... Give the basement a try? For prevention to the others: 2/day clean water, wash hands every time you pet one, wash boots... At least the others are stronger and she was given hope for living thanks to that vet... Couple of days waiting since she already pooped trice now blood with abnormal stool/flush would have killed her. So relieved... Ty for the feedback. It's up to her now

How is she quarantined? Do you have her in a kennel or pen in the basement?

Making sure the space is quiet, not too hot or too cold and allowing her a confined space like a kennel or nesting box to rest in should help keep her calm. Keep any other pets or children away from her as well.

If she's well handled and used to you being around, she may prefer you somewhere she can see or hear you - even if you aren't paying her attention. If not, giving her space is best.

If there are any treats she will 'always' eat, try offering her a small amount to stimulate her appetite.

Thank you for the advice.

Gave her the space since she misses the others and her friend silkie Fluffy very much. She did became less tame because she's ill. Did not want to stress her. So i put her into a banana box, made a carton floor in it so she would not catch a cold and kitchen paper on it. Every time she dripped blood or did a tiny poo i refreshed everything. At evening i did a towel over her box so she would sleep dark enough in the kitchen and worked the evening in the living room to let her rest. Now for her being in the basement allows her to let me work in the kitchen without her stressing and sit quietly and not getting too hot today. Parents at the phone wanted me to put her on newspaper, but i'm not sure the ink is healthy for her...

She was at my kitchen 'till 8 am this morning, it became a bit too hot so i moved her at the basement around that time. She got very tiny cut wallnutt, water and her normal chicken grain. I do not dare to put hay in it to let her make a nest in case our hay has been infected. I've cut her some clump of grass with earth i'm sure that's not contaminated this morning and put it in a dish inside the box. Letting the old parents when they arrive back home this evening get some yogurt.

The thing that worries me the most is that every stool sample of tonight at 2AM there was nothing and no blood, now this morning all 3 did have blood in it. Now there even dripped in a slimy line out of her behind which i cleaned… Suppose it's due to the enteritis...

The good news however, she's standing, eating and drinking. Not as much as i would have liked, but i hope that's a good sign for my girl. Went to check on her at night at 2AM, no poo or blood and she was quietly breathing and sleeping. Given the fact i was with her at 7.30 and there were 3 times bloody poo that looked more like the picture in the box, is a bit less reassuring...

As for the entire flock: i think we caught it in time by quarantining her. I've read somewhere if they do not show signs of infection and do not have blood in their stool, it's another 24h wait (in total 48h). By cleaning every poop in - and outside the pen, barn and grassy area, i did not see any foam poo or abnormal poo with blood within. I will continue that 2ce a day instead of once. Got to admit one of the 4 other ladies is a stinkerd :woot, it's either dad's grey Koen or our Goldy hihi (yes, except these 2 i know which one makes which poo:p).

When the parents are home this evening we will decontaminate the entire barn with soap and desinfectantia. Also the cribs, and give new lining at the floor and their nesting area's.

What antibiotic did the vet prescribe? Enteritis can be fairly common and treated with antibiotics. Usually it is from something in the soil, such as clostridium perfringens. Did the vet test for salmonella? Did he consider treating with amprollium for possible coccidiosis too?

I think Thylogram. Today i had to go this morning and the bleeding stopped yesterday afternoon. She's now in my parents Care and doing well. Tomorrow i can tell you the specific name of the med.

Salmonella tends to cause white diarrhea in chickens, so that is why I was asking if the vet actually checked for salmonella. Glad the blood has stopped in droppings.

She past away this night... She became suddenly worse with the minute... We're going to burry her next to my dead cat... Perhaps it's better like this, that she doesnt have to suffer or that a marter or a Fox or a Bird of prey had her... Now she's still with us, even when she's dead... Ill never forget what a lovely sweet gentle chicken she was. Such a soft character Ive never seen in a chicken

How will Fluffy react now. We cannot show the corps to the flock... She spent nights and days calling her and searching... Why couldn't a stronger one have had it and survived....
