Silkie egg is green!!

Are you sure she’s doing the laying?

Not 100% yet. But my actual X-breed Amerucana has been laying larger green eggs for awhile and I got both on the same day. My other pullets are Black Copper and I believe I’ve seen all 3 of them. She is really the only one left.

I could be mistaken but that egg, just based on size, is twice as big as anything I have ever seen come out of anything the size of a Silkie.

I'm no silkie expert but I do own a few, fwiw.

That is an awesome silkie, even if it is a cross! Some people try to breed silkied easter eggers on purpose. You are lucky!

I have a little girl from the same lady who lays one that size but mystery solved... it’s not from her. She was separated from the main flock just to see and that egg is in the main coop. Evidently I hadn’t seen eggs from all 3 of my other pullets.
