i had a silkie egg that never hatched! and i opened it up and it had got tangled in ether its umbilical cord or a blood vessel. because it was around its wing and around its neck. it had been there for a while though.. the little chick had actually grone around it.
was this just a accident or something i may have caused???

How was it's head position? Was it under the wing or turned back? When I've rotated eggs accidentally during lockdown or the chick was too big for the egg from bad breeding (too big of rooster with bantam hen) they sometimes have their heads turned back and it's really hard for them to hatch like that.

im pretty shore its head wasnt under its wing but it didnt look backward but im new to it so idk and it was full silkie so i dont think it was to big
