No unfortunately I never noticed and being a tophat silkie it makes impossible to see there eyes inless I pick them up and move the features away. She is one of my oldest hens 5 years old. Oh. I'm not familiar with silkies enough to know if this happens to the breed. But, even if you just noticed, flushing with saline might be beneficial. Did you ever figure this out or fix it? I just saw a post on Facebook about this happening to another silkie.Her skin of her eye has grown together. No sign of swelling or discharge.
