Will do. As I posted earlier, my phone's camera died a while ago, so I'm at the mercy of camera-owning friends right now. When they visit, I'll have photos to post.
I had a nice silkied EE pullet from the feed store this spring. She was a splash color and so sweet and pretty. SOmething got her , she disappeared one night when the kids were supposed to lock her up.
I hope this photo upload worked. This is our silkie feathered white EE. She is actually solid white, and the discolorations you see are just poop.
Her legs are a dark slate color now. For some reason they look dark green in this photo, but they aren't green in actuality. She does have muffs and a beard, although they were always small.
I'll need to bathe my lavender EE chick before taking a photo. She was caught in a rain storm yesterday and now looks muddy rather than lavender!
That said, having browsed photos of lavender Ameraucanas on BYC, she is a lighter shade of lavender (although definitely lavender). I'm not sure if the sun bleached her feathering this summer, or if she is just getting lighter in color as she matures...she's almost on the line between lavender and perhaps porcelain (if I understand correctly what porcelain is...)
