Silkie friend & Seramas.

So I’m getting a little companion for my silkie cross. She is also about 8 months old and only about 10cm tall, so very small. I was thinking of getting another silkie, but she would have to be small. I know the smallest breed is serama, but how friendly are they to other chickens? Also, are their any other breeds of tiny chicken? Thanks

Bantams are the teacup versions of chickens. They are tiny and lay lil eggs.

Yes i have. They seem like they’d get their foot feathers quite mucky. I’ll definitely consider those though, thanks.

Actually, they keep them pretty clean

d'Uccle, OEGB, Serama, Rosecomb, Japanese, Sebright, ect.. That didn't even begin to scratch the surface. And as you probably know, there are bantam counterparts to many standard breeds.

Keeping in mind I've never owned Seramas, and Sebrights have a reputation for terrorizing their flockmates (certainly accurate!), everyone else generally coexists beautifully. Actually, I keep all with my own Silkies.
