This is probably my fav part of byc, seeing the silkie babies and getting to guess sex!

A single comb on a black, WOW have never seen that one, white and buff yes, but not any other color.

That makes is harder.

The soft tail says girl, or girlie boy, body type screams boy, but I have had girls with the BEST globular crest develope the slowest, too the point if it had not been banded at birth from a certain hen would have been cut at an early age. Later I thanked the good lord I still had the bird.

But it really looks to be filling out on the back of the neck from the crest down and that goes back to boy again.
