Silkie genders... :)

I think the white is a roo for sure... looks close to my buff roo.

Your partridge color babe looks like a girl. Most definitely, she looks like both my blacks with her facial features... I even though with the small combs they would end up being roos.... but they are both laying eggs now, so definitely ladies!

I dont think your gray is a gray. I think there is a better chance its a LAVENDER (or self blue)! This is what a gray looks like. Your bird looks much lighter and more like a Lavender.

And just for reference, here is my lavender cockeral... I think your birds color is closer to this than to a gray.

That isn't a grey, and definately not even-colored enough for a self blue. It's more than likely a splash.

Sorry everyone about not getting recent pictures posted, but I think our computer has a virus of some sort.

Both Fuzzbutt and Mae are roosters, so anyone that would like to give them a loving home can PM me. I would consider trading or just make me an offer.

Out of 15 chicks, I pick two roos.

How are those chicks I gave you doing?

They are all doing great! They are 1 month old now

I should try to get a pic of them for you, they have changed a lot. The only one that remained white is one of the ones my broody hatched, it has white Silkie feathers. The other 2 or 3 white ones have turned a creamy buff color. There are some really unique color combos in there lol.

I am still trying to figure out their genders. They are confusing to me because they are mixes and most have single combs but they are gray.

Were you going to want any of those mixes back, or should I just sell the roos (and/or whichever ones I dont want)? I have 53 chicks total right now and I can't keep them all lol.

Did any of your last hatch survive? Did that woman buy them?

A picture would be great! So your white EE isn't white? We do have a white EE hen with some buff coloring, so she might have laid those eggs. Did the partidge/lav silkie turn out to be pure? If she/he is, thats the only one I would be interested in getting back.
The guy from NY hasn't emailed me back. If he doesn't reply in the next two days, you can have/sell whichever chicks you don't want.

I got 10 chicks to hatch out of 25 eggs and the woman's husband picked them up on Sunday afternoon. I have had 12 more hatch since then (3 didnt make it though) and I'm pretty sure their picking them up on Friday. She wanted 50, but this hatch I've had so many problems for some reason.
