I also heard that they could live for 3 days, but then I saw that you shouldn't leave them for more than 24 hours. So, if he is all dry, I would swoop in and grab him. I opened mine several times to get chicks and no harm done. The ones that have pipped are A-Okay as far as being "shrink-wrapped" cause their little beak is getting air through the pip hole. Do it fast and you'll be fine.

ok, did it, humidity varied only a couple of degrees, I feel better now that shes had food and esp water, shes now sleeping peacefully with some other bantam chicks.

Now one other about to pop out of the shell, another zipping, and 3 more doing NOTHING, day 20, so not worried yet.

lol they are little aliens. i think they are so much fun to look at, haha. Only bad thing is one has a really messed up leg. its the only one with a bow tie. its breaking my heart to think i may have to cull it..
