I owned a silkie once and tried it she was "cute" she beat of the younger pullets and got picked on by the older hens. She died pretty shortly after I got her I think because she just wasnt hardy enough to live like the rest of my LF flock.

Please do not hate on me! lol.... my son thinks they are adorable as does my mother in law ( owner of a shizu, now , doesn't that just say it all), which makes me just dislike them more! ( opps! did I just say that???!?!?!!!!)
