I now know for sure the splash colored silkie is a female because she has been laying an egg everyday for the past month . The buff silkie has not laid any eggs and I have not heard him crow . He/she does have a larger walnut and is a bit more chatty than my splash . With these pictures can anyone tell me if they think it’s a female or male ?

Same age as the other one? If so then then female. Check out this pic of this handsome boy off google images... see the longer saddle feather that start near the base of the tail and hang long and flowing and the top of the head is spiky but it starts a long mullet verses that gal has shorter feathers down the back of her neck and more consistent pompom type tail. And another note is the shiny red orange to his feathers where as your gals is more muted brown.

Your splash comb looks very incorrect from what I can see. But that won't change her personality and such.

You got two pullets! :wee

Thanks for the reply! And I have no idea what’s going on with the other silkies comb, but she lays eggs everyday and is sweet so I don’t really care much
