Found our silkie hen with large swollen bumps on her ears, face and neck. She recently had an injury to the top of her beak a few weeks ago that seemed to heal quickly, and now these swollen areas. Tried hydrocortisone, what else? Antibiotics? Please help.

Is there pus inside her ears?
Any other bumps like that on the rest of her body or just the head/face?
Any lice or mites?
Any bad odors?

If vet care is an option, that would be good.

I'd apply triple antibiotic ointment topically to the ear. For the eye, look in the eye for pus, inside the beak for any lesions.
Hard to know what's causing the swelling, it may be canker/ear canker, respiratory illness or something else.

@dawg53 may want to chime in.

Are there any bubbles in her eye? She could have a swollen earlobe and eyelid from a possible respiratory disease, peck wounds that may have caused swelling or an abscess, or maybe even fowl pox if she recently has been exposed to mosquitoes. But I have not seen any recently here. I would do what Wyorp Rock has suggested.
