Silkie hen or roo please ?

I have no clue at all. I brought them after being told they were girl chicks. I only have these two, either way I love them very much so it doesn’t really matter, the neighbours might not agree haha. I would of liked hens for the egg side of things but am reading one rooster per 10 hens is that always the case? As I don’t really have room for this ammount :(
I haven't kept that ratio. It's not as big a deal with silkies because they tend to be calmer. You have to watch for overbreeding where the hens loose back feathers. Silkies are more pets and raising chicks. Not so good for eggs.

Thank you. I’m so inexperienced. They definitely are great pets. I just have the two chickens, Now being two roosters.
Do you no how they cope in the winter as I only have two and won’t be getting extras now I no they are both Roos ? I’m worried the two won’t be able to keep as warm

Depends on where you are and how big their coop is. If you don't get sub zero temps and their coop isn't huge they'll be fine. You can put a nice layer of straw down to insulate their coop. During the daytime in winter don't worry, iv'e seen silkies play in the snow. If it gets really bad you can always set them up a crate inside your house in the coolest room so you don't get their temperature regulation out of whack.:)

Super, thank you so much. Looks like they will be coming in when it’s below zero frosty. Be House full of chickens and rabbits :)

Ah, chickens are fun to bring inside sometimes silkies in general are so goofy and on top of that you've got fellas. You'll have some really fun little houseguests. Btw, if you don't ever get ladies for those two you shouldn't have trouble out of either one. They are good as gold until they know about women.:)
