Hi all! I was wondering if anyone can tell what gender my silkie is.....between 6 and 7 weeks old currently.....is this too young to make a distinction with silkies?

Thanks! :jumpy

Hard to say for sure... just on features since they haven't fully come in yet. Since it's non bearded it will have more obvious wattles like it does. It has a straight comb so that blows that clue to.

Behavior can be a good indicator.. girls tend to be shyer and boys are often more confident. Not always. I'd be curious to get a better view of the middle Wyandotte, same age? :pop

Thanks! Here are close ups of the three others, all same age :)

Silkies are hard to sex. I only knew I had one rooster and one hen when one started to crowed and the other started to laid. I have add a picture for you to see the differences between the two of them. The gray one on the left is the hen, the black one on the right is the roo. Notice the comb difference.
