Okay, bad news.
I kept her in the garage for a few hours and then finally let her other coop mates in. When my rooster (kenneth) tried to mate her, she fell on her side again and didn't even try to get up. She was just like splayed on the floor. This is the same thing I saw her do when I first took her inside my house.
This isn't a submissive thing to the rooster right? I think she has to be sick or weak or something. Are the silkie breeds sick like this sometimes? Also, when my other silkie hen two months ago, I found her under the house, lying over slightly. Please don't tell me this is the same thing? But the deal is, my dead silkie hen was molting at the time (badly) and it was very, very, very cold that day.
heartsizedfarm: Yeah, I will be. I'm just praying for starters that my little girl will pull out of this.
