Candled last night (bored) one quit I'm assuming. Veins almost completely gone. Will eggtopsy when all are done hatching. I like the mirror idea also. Kv you didn't throw the eggs away did you? Id leave in unless they stink. Will candle mine again tonight as it is lock down tonight. So nervous... good thing I don't have long nails as they'd be chewed off.

jorey, I'm with you and nail biting... I don't have much but they are chewed stil, lol.

I didn't toss anything yet, still holding out hope... I have one other with veins in it, although is one really dark vein, makes me think it's a death ring? altho isn't really a ring, but does loop around and connect... and I don't see any movement in there... me and my kids are all hoping against hope for two fo them... lockdown is finally here!!! I"m sooo excited for you!!!! you must get your daughter to help you with pics after they come....

 

[why do birds]

Our set up in the bathtub new water bottle in cardboard box with chicken nipple.

Top Fredo the smooth sizzle, Chicken Nugget the frizzle sizzle, and Beak A Poo the silkie
Hoping they learn to drink from the chicken nipple water bottle. They will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! Best of luck to everyone hatching!

Don't feel bad. I'm down to 11 out of 30! Most were too shaken up from shipping, some were infertile and I had a few quitters. I have 3 more days until hatch day!

I cant wait to see your results, mine were similar. What color eggs do you still have developing? My chicks are now 3 weeks old and super cute. I cant wait to see yours.

White black blue and paint. I'm lucky and still have a few of each. There are two porous eggs that look like they have bacteria. The babies are still moving so we'll see if they make it. I hope they do.

All locked down. Put that rubber shelf liner in over the wire so nothing catches on it. Added some more water since humidty was only 30. And now the hard part begins. Lol. I have tomorrow off so I guess I ll need to be cleaning so I don't touch them. Lol. Candeled again and saw one with a beak pipping the aircell I think. I hope. I will be happy to have 2 hatch so they have each other. I already have plans for next batch also. The nice bycer I got some of my chixks from last year has agreed to sell me some of her silkie and hopefully showgirl eggs as soon as she has extra. These won't be. Shipped just a half hour drive back and forth. I guess I'm hooked on incubating. Another vice . Lol

hi, so today is my canlding on day 10.... if the eggs are totally clear I am going to take them out and see what I can see... (try and tell if fertile or not) anything I might be doubting i'm leaving in. will leaving them in (ones i'm doubting) in any way hurt my little egg that is developing? and the egg that I think has a blood ring.... do I take that one out as well? nothing stinks yet, but I am just worried of something hurting my little lone eggie at this point....
