Alright friends...still having gender identity issues with this one. Hoping for a pullet. As I have 2 confirmed roos in the group of 4. They're all 15.5 weeks and my polish boy has been crowing a few weeks now. Zero combs/waddles and super sweet

If it's a boy it's slow growing. The other silkie I knew was a roo at like 2 mos old (pictured below). This one is almost 4 mos. But I don't expect eggs til spring anyway. No crowing either but I know less dominant birds don't always crow if there's other roos crowing already.View attachment 1976258

I see a bit of Cockerel signs, but like you said they can be very hard to sex. I have a cross beak that didn't crow either, but there was 2 other cockerels in with him. One day he surprised me and I caught him finally crow, they are over 4 months

I have a grown established roo (not sure of age as I acquired him from someone else but he's got huge spurs) who obviously crows all the time. The polish roo has been crowing a few weeks now. My cochin hasn't started crowing yet which is weird but I guess expected? Pretty certain he's a roo. Polish, cochin, and silkie are all the same age. Out of 5 chicks total I'm only at one pullet so far (another polish).
