Sadly, I think I may have a bit of PTSD...when I see the chickens laying down in their run I am so scared they are dead
:hugs I know exactly how you feel, I feel the same way.

per the FDA and mfg:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...ol-ampromed-the-correct-amprolium-dose.73341/
Treatment20% Powder9.6% Liquid
For 3-5 days1.5 teaspoons per gallon2 teaspoons per gallon
then for 7-14 days1/3 teaspoon per gallon1/2 teaspoon per gallon

When treating coccidisosis in my own birds I use the 0.024% severe outbreak dose for 5 days, then the 0.006% amount for 7-14 days. Since I use the liquid, I use 2 teaspoons per gallon for five days, then 1/2 teaspoon for 7-14 days.

The FDA, FARAD, and the mfg's say this:
"Administer at 0.012% in drinking water as soon as coccidiosis is diagnosed and continue for 3 days to 5 days (in severe outbreaks, give 0.024%); continue with 0.006%
amprolium medicated water for an additional 1 week to 2 weeks. No other source of drinking water should be available to the birds during this time."

Thank you this is perfect!!! ❤️

The first dose kills the adult parasites that lay eggs, but this triggers the developing larvea to move to their primary site in the body and begin developing into adults. You have to retreat to kill thy cycle.

Ok thank you! I treated on 9/1 so I will retreat tonight. Still haven’t received the final necropsy results but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
Sounds great.

How is everyone else doing today?

Sounds great.

How is everyone else doing today?
Everyone seems to be doing good, I haven’t noticed any signs of anything except a few runnyish poops today, slightly yellow? I’m praying to God it’s the Corid and Valbazen....or whatever we are trying to kill in their bodies...I just want them to be healthy and happy hens ❤️

I just got off the phone with the vet, they both died from Listeria. They suspect it’s from the fermented feed. I am a mess. I thought I was giving them the best of the best. I will be contacting my vet I’m the morning I’m the hopes she would prescribe me penicillin.
