I believe that the hen we just just lost died from cocci complications and it’s possible most of my flock still has it even though I’ve already treated them. It’s odd that the silkie came back with nothing and she’s the one showing signs but I’m getting used to things not making sense around here. I started Corid today, they have a big tub of free choice grit and get to run around all day. I will give her coconut oil too. Thanks so much for your helpFor Coccidiosis treat with Corid. Dosage is 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder or 2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon of water. Give for 5-7 days as the sole source of drinking water.
Crop issues can be a symptom of an underlying condition like infection, worms, coccidiosis and reproductive disorders. If you have a Coccidiosis overload, then it's possible that it's slowing down the digestive process.
Treat with the Corid. I would also make sure she's drinking well, massage the crop several times a day to break up anything that is in there. You can give her 1tsp of coconut oil to help get things moving too. A source of grit (crushed granite) should be available free choice. Let her eat and see how the crop feels in the morning.
